High Quality Titanium Jewellery

Titanium is our preference for quality new piercing jewellery. It is often referred to as hypoallergenic meaning that it is not reactive in the skin and usually inert in the body. It is one of the best materials for body piercings but many piercers do not use it as it generally costs a bit more. It is much better than "Surgical Steel" as it tends to heal a piercing quicker and it weighs less too. If a person has sensitive skin we recommend they try titanium jewellery, as it doesn't contain Nickel and has a better chance of healing new piercing without problems such as lumps or rejections. People who have very sensitive skin and can't even wear gold can usually wear titanium.

Titanium has many uses including implants inside the body by surgeons and dentists and is about half the weight of "Surgical Steel". Titanium, like niobium, can be anodized. To complicate things further, not all titanium jewelley is of the same quality. There are many different grades of Titanium so just because someone is selling Titanium jewellery don't assume all Titanium jewellery is of the same quality.
